In this case, you need to simply put a CD in the CDRW and download the needed incident onto the CD. The DM-DVST-1204 DVR Security System has an additional very important feature called the Watermark. The watermark is a feature which in scripts the date and time of the incident being recorded on the CD. A watermarked CD cannot be changed or altered. This is a necessary feature if you want the CD to be used as evidence by the police or courts. Systems that don’t have the watermark feature are not being approved as evidence because they could have been changed and therefore compromised. The DM-DVST-1204 has all methods of recording available, including by time, by event and most popular method- by recording. The system is of course operational at all times (24/7), but the by motion method of recording records only the motion, therefore saving room on the hard drive and making playback easier and faster.
