The JVC VN-C205U is a color hybrid security camera with Ethernet and analog out and can be used both as a digital network camera, recording high quality M-JPEG video as well as a conventional analog video camera with 540 TV lines of resolution. When connected digitally via Ethernet, the VN-C205U can be accessed for viewing and control from anywhere in the network by entering the camera's IP address into a WEB browser. A day/night function automatically switches the camera from color mode under ambient light to a B&W mode when light values fall below a certain level. Using a built-in motion detector, this security camera will sound an alarm when motion is sensed and will begin storing pre/post alarm images to an optional CF memory card, ensuring quick retrieval of important alarm event images. The VN-C205U installs easily using an industry standard 6" electrical box adapter.

Camera Features

Hybrid Camera: Featuring both Ethernet and analog out, the VN-C205U can be used as a digital network camera or as a conventional analog video camera with 540 TV lines of resolution. Also featured is a front RCA out jack for convenient local camera adjustment monitoring.

Network: When connected via Ethernet, the camera can be viewed and controlled from anywhere on the network simply by logging on and entering the camera's internet address into a WEB browser.

Day/Night: To facilitate quality 24-hour video surveillance, the VN-C205U switches from color mode under sufficient light to a high quality B&W mode when it gets dark.

Motion-JPEG: The camera uses the M-JPEG format to record high quality full motion video (30 fps) which can be viewed by any computer on the network.

CF Card Slot: When an alarm is triggered by the built-in motion detector, the camera will begin downloading images from before and after the alarm event to an optional CF memory card for quick retrieval of crucial alarm images.

Electronic Settings: The camera uses an array of controls and functions to self adjust and provide dependable operation under a multitude of lighting environments and color temperatures.
